Your peaceful getaway retreat in Lake Como
Villa Gina is our latest addition to our portfolio.
The villa is divided in 3 apartments with 3 separate entrances, just 5 minutes walking distance from the train station.
It is our newly refurbished off rental property if you wish to have a home away from home in Lake Como.
The apartments are self catering, breakfast excluded and are completely indipendent from the Albergo, that is located 15 minutes away.
Casa Ginevra
The most spacious accomodation of Villa Gina can be accessed through the garden via a flight of stairs.
Casa Ginevra has a fully furnished kitchen, living room, bathroom and pergola patio located on the first floor.
On the upper floor there are two large double bedrooms, both with frontal lake view and a twin bedroom with garden view, adjacent a bathroom with shower. Some of the floors are embellished with colored tiles in a glazed cement called “pastina” typical of the lake.
Maximum occupancy 6 guests (rate changes according to the number of guests), no pets allowed. One private parking garage is available at extra cost – Reservation is essential before arrival.
Check in will be directly in front of the gate in Via per Esino 6 with a member of the staff upon agreed appointment from 15.00 to 18.00.
Check out at 10.00.

Casa Carlotta
Apartment Carlotta, the attic of Villa Gina has an indipendent direct entrance and can be accessed via a flight of stairs. Nested on the top of the villa it offers breathtaking views over the lake .
A spacious and bright living room can be turned into a second comfortable bedroom with sofabed by prior reservation. One bedroom with double bed, adjacent a bathroom with shower.
The modern kitchen with dining area offers everything you expect to cook your best pasta. A little terrace accomodates you for al fresco dining with a view; a second terrace offers two deck chairs to relax and enjoy best vistas.
Maximum occupancy 4 guests (rate changes depending on the number of booked guests), no pets allowed.
Self check in from 15.00 to 20.00 at Via per Esino 10.

Casa Luna
Casa Luna is the smallest apartment of Villa Gina, ideal for couples or solo travelers that are looking for a cozy retreat and privacy while enjoying the Italian Villa experience.
The newly renovated studio is furnished with a canopy bed, modern design bathroom with rain shower and a fully furnished kitchen with dining area. From here you exit to a little private terrace with table and umbrella. Outside your bedroom the private garden area offers sunbeds and it all comes with a gorgeous view of the lake.
Maximum occupancy 2 guests, no pets and smoking allowed.
Self-check-in available from 15.00-18.00 in Via per Esino 6

How to find us
Villa Gina is located five minutes walking distance from the Varenna-Esino train station on the road, Via er Esino, leading to the charming village of Perledo.
Arriving by car
From Milan (South)
S.S. 36 with exit Abbadia Lariana, continue on S.P.72 for about 15 Km. After Fiumelatte, before the tunnel, turn left and enter Varenna. Follow the signs to the train station, turn right at the crossroad at Albergo Beretta and follow the road, Via Per Esino, until you reach number 6 Apartment Ginevra, number 10 for Apartment Carlotta.
From Colico (North)
S.S.36 with exit Bellano-Varenna-Esino and go down towards the lake on the S.P.62 until the center of Bellano. At the stop sign take the S.P.72 in the direction of Varenna, which is reached after 5 km.
Turn left at the crossroad at Albergo Beretta and follow the road, Via Per Esino, until you reach number 6 Apartment Ginevra, number 10 for Apartment Carlotta.

Villa Gina is about five-minute walking distance from the station. From the station follow the road until the stop sign and turn left and keep walking for 300 metres along Via per Esino (less than 5 minutes walking) on via until you reach number 6.
ENTRANCE VILLA GINA – APARTMENT CARLOTTA
Villa Gina is about five-minute walk from the station. From the station follow the main road until the stop sign and turn left and keep walking for 600 metres (less than a 10 minutes walking distance) until you reach number 10 after the large curve with murales on it.
Walk from the boat dock:
Exit left from the docks and follow the main road leadin to the stop sign, cross the road and go along via Per Esino and follow until number 6 for Apartment Ginevra or number 10 for Apartment Carlotta.
History
It was in the summer of 1923 that Ginevra, the young wife of a notary from Cremona, chose “that branch of Lake Como” to buy a vacation home.
Since then the villa and its garden marked all the summers of her life, the life of her daughters and then of her granddaughters.
For almost a century Villa Gina was a beloved and faithful witness of the history of the family and is ready to open its doors after a full makeover to welcome guests in two separate apartments suitable for a family or group of friends up to 6 guests or couple on as special holiday

Panoramic lake views from both the room and the restaurant were astounding. My room was in keeping with the romance of the region. Modern comforts all considered as well. Extremely clean. Friendly staff. Worth booking dinner at the restaurant. The food was very high quality and “fine dining” style but not overpriced. Blissful place to be at sunset. Perfect hospitality.

My fiancé and I recently visited Albergo Milano to celebrate our engagement. I had booked in advance and staff made it a very special occasion for us. Service was great, and the food was sincerely the best meal I have had in my entire life! We will be back!

Жили не в здании отеля, а в их квартире (мин 2 пешком от отеля). Апарты 2-хэтажные (на первом - спальня и су, на втором - кухня, гостиная и балкон). Все не новое, но очень уютно и с заботой обустроено, отличный WF, кофемашина с капсулами, вкусный кофе, чайник, посуда из Икеи. На балконе хорошо завтракать с частичным видом на озеро. Отличная локация, до озера пару шагов, рядом рестораны, пицерия, продуктовый магазинчик. Приятный персонал на ресепшен в отеле.

Wir haben mit unserer Familie in der grossen Wohnung -Villa Ginevra- gewohnt. Die drei Zimmer, die zwei Bäder, das grosszügige Wohnzimmer und Küche sind komplett ausgestattet. Die doppelstöckige Wohnung ist sehr schön und praktisch ausgestattet. Wir haben während des Aufenthalts Freunde zum Essen eingeladen und haben in der Küche für alle sehr gut kochen können. Das Abendessen haben wir auf der Terrasse mit wunderbaren Blick auf den Comer See genossen. Alle Zimmer haben übrigens einen atemberaubenden Ausblick! Wifi funktioniert auch super. Ich musste noch ein paar Online-Calls durchführen, d.h. man kann problemlos Remote vor Ort arbeiten. Über die Klimaanlage waren wir auch dankbar, um sie einige Minuten vor dem Schlafengehen zu aktivieren. Entspannen kann man im romantischen Garten, der mit schönen Liegestühlen ausgestattet ist. Allgemein kann man sagen, für Bettina, die Gastgeberin, ist die Villa eine Herzensangelegenheit. Hier ist man sehr gut betreut und aufgehoben. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und können Villa Ginevra nur empfehlen.

The hotel is so great! We stayed in one of the Casa Rosa rooms and has a perfect lake view. The breakfast on the terrace was tasty, but the view was the real star of the show. Be sure to get reservations at the restaurant in advance--they were booked up and we couldn't get one! The A/C in the hotel room worked fine but wasn't quite as cold as American standards, just FYI.
